　National Kaohsiung University of Applied Sciences, hereinafter referred to as “KUAS”, has one president, who represents KUAS and administers affairs of the university. There are one to two vice presidents who assist the president in administering university affairs and promoting academic studies. Administrative units in KUAS are as follows: Office of the President, Office of the Vice President, Office of Academic Affairs, Office of Student Affairs, Office of General Affairs, Secretariat, Office of Research and Development, Division of Continuing Education and Extension Education, Library, Accounting Office, Personnel Office, Office of Physical Education, Military Education Office, Computer Center and Alumni Center.

　Academic units in KUAS include various colleges, departments, graduate institutes, centers and the Division of Junior College. Each college has one dean, who administers college affairs. Various departments, the Center of Teacher Education, the Center of General Education and graduate institutes have their own directors who administer affairs related to the department, center or graduate institute. Directors are assisted by faculty members, professional technicians, teacher assistants and staff. Faculty in KUAS is divided into four categories: professor, associate professor, assistant professor and lecturer. Employment of faculty shall first be reviewed by the department/institute faculty examination committee which will then be sent to the University Faculty Examination Committee for review. Upon approval, the faculty member will be employed by the President. Faculty members are in charge of instruction, research, service, consultation and assistance in administrative affairs in KUAS.

　KUAS has established a University Council to be the highest policy-making body to resolve issues of major importance. The University Development Committee is in charge of planning and formulating short-term, mid-term and long-term development plans as well as budgeting for KUAS. The Agenda Committee is in charge of reviewing and finalizing proposals to be discussed in the University Council Meeting, formulating meeting regulations and deciding agenda. The duties of the Budget Auditing Committee include auditing, safekeeping and management of revenue, expenditures and properties of KUAS. KUAS has also established the Administrative Council and various committees.
