Founded according to Article 14 of the University Charter of KUAS, the Office of Academic Affairs is in charge of academic affairs, teaching service and admission. Directed by the Dean of Academic Affairs, the Office may set up three sections for general academic affairs, teaching service and admission. Each section has a section chief and several clerks.
Organization
KUAS became a university of technology in the academic year of 2000. At first, the original organization of the Office of Academic Affairs was kept with registration section, curriculum section, publication section and audio/visual instruction section. In the academic year of 2002, to enhance teaching of foreign language, KUAS purchased language teaching equipment and set up six language labs. At the same time, the section of audio/visual instruction was removed. Language teaching equipment and language labs were then managed by the Department of Applied Language. The publication section was renamed to become the section of general affairs. The section was in charge of publication as well as admission promotion and admission of graduate and postgraduate programs. In the academic year of 2004, the organization of the Office was readjusted. At present, the Office has three sections, including Section of General Academic Affairs, Section of Teaching Service and Admission Affairs Section, who serve students, faculty and prospects of KUAS.
Services
The Office of Academic Affairs administers academic affairs of KUAS and works to implement policies of academic affairs and enforce various regulations related to academic affairs.
