SIST Delegate Presents Papers in a Joint Seminar Held at KUAS
A delegate of three faculty members and eight graduate students from Shizuoka Institute of Science and Technology (SIST), Japan, presented their research at KUAS on March 25 in a joint seminar organized by KUAS and SIST. The delegate was led by Dr. Shoji Maekawa of the Department of Mechanical Engineering of SIST and warmly welcomed by KUAS. Fifteen papers from both KUAS and SIST were presented in English, covering a variety of topics in the areas of mechanic engineering and materials sciences. The seminar was a great success in which knowledge and ideas were shared and discussed.

KUAS, SIST, and Metal Industries Research and Development Center of Taiwan have signed an MOU in 2012. More collaboration in the area of students exchange, faculty research collaboration, seminars and conferences is expected in the near future. Through this partnership, KUAS and SIST will sure develop a closer tie and, hopefully, result in more fruitful research outcomes.
