Topping out Ceremony of College of Humanities and Social Sciences Building

KUAS President--Cheng-Hong Yang, the dean of the College of Humanities and Social Sciences—Hsu-Hui Ding, and the faculty of the College gathered at the construction site of the new College of Humanities and Social Sciences Building to celebrate a milestone in construction of this 6-story building. The topping out ceremony was held on June 3 to commemorate the installation of the final structural beam of the building, marking the point when the structure has reached its intended height. The construction is expected to be completed in March 2014.
 
The new building, located on Yanchao campus, will be the home of the College of Humanities and Social Sciences. The total gross floor area is more than 13.6 thousand square meters, housing the offices, classrooms, and auditoriums to be used by the three departments and two centers of the College. Once completed, the building will be the cornerstone of liberal arts education and the powerhouse of inspiration and creativity for KUAS, which has had a strong focus on science and technology.    
 
In addition to the construction of the College of Humanities and Social Sciences Building, the construction of the new Administration Building and the Library and Information Building is also underway on Yanchao campus. With the addition of the new buildings equipped with new facility and technology, KUAS will sure provide students with more comprehensive learning experience. >
